On New Year's Eve, everyone takes photos. At midnight, everyone takes photos, all at once, from fifty angles. Then the year starts and those photos never leave the phones they were taken on.
This year, put the whole party on one camera.
How it works
Create a Dispo88 camera, share the link in the group chat or put it on a sign by the door, and everyone shoots from their own phone. No app, no account. All of it lands in one album.
Each photo develops for an hour before it appears. So the midnight photos show up around 1am, which is exactly when everyone's on the couch wanting to relive the countdown.
The shots to get
The pregame. Outfits are still perfect. It's the last time they will be.
The countdown. Hold your phone up through the last ten seconds. Every guest gets a different angle.
Midnight. The kisses, the hugs, the confetti, the person who missed it because they were in the bathroom.
The resolutions. Ask a few people what theirs is. Photograph them saying it.
1am. Shoes off, party still going.
Tips for the night
Share the link early. Before people arrive, or right when they do. It's harder to explain at 11:58.
Use the flash. Party lighting is dark, and the flash helps a lot on close-ups.
Get enough photos. A big party at midnight burns through photos fast. The free tier covers 88; Crew ($8.88 CAD, one time) gives you unlimited photos. Pricing details
Hosting at a venue? An Event camera ($39 CAD) adds a printable QR poster, so guests just scan to join, plus camera lock to close the camera when the party ends.
January 1st
The album's waiting, with the whole night from everyone's point of view. Make a Memory Reel of the countdown and midnight: a short vertical video, made in your browser, no watermark. It's the perfect first post of the year.
