The basics

What is Dispo88?
A free online disposable camera you share with a link or a QR code. Everyone shoots on their own phone, with no app, and every photo lands in one album. Photos develop for about an hour first, so everyone stays in the moment.
How does it work?
Make a camera, then share its link or QR code. Guests open it on their phone and start shooting. Each photo develops for about an hour, then lands in the camera’s album.
Can I use it for a wedding, birthday or party?
Yes. One camera covers the whole event: guests scan its QR code and shoot from their own phones without an app, and every photo lands in one album. For bigger events, an Event camera adds a printable QR poster, a password and a live slideshow.
What if there’s no signal?
Dispo88 works best with Wi-Fi and/or cellular signal. If you lose signal, your photos are saved on your phone and upload once you’re back online.

For guests

Do guests need an app or an account?
No. Guests open the camera’s link or scan its QR code and shoot right in their phone’s browser. Nothing to download, no sign-up.
Can I get an email when the photos are ready?
Yes. After you take a photo, tap Email me when they’re ready and leave your email. No account needed. After the event, once the photos have developed, we send you one email with the photos you took and a link that signs you in to see them. If you’re signed in, you get it on its own.
Why make an account?

You don’t need one to take photos. With one, you get an email when the photos are ready without asking, every photo you’ve taken on any camera in one place (My photos), saving up to 30 photos at once instead of one at a time, Memory Reels with more than 3 photos, and your own cameras.

Signing in also keeps the photos you took as a guest in that browser. Sign in with an email code, Google or Apple.

Can guests see each other’s photos?
Yes. Album sharing is on for new cameras, and guests see every photo, on any plan. You can turn sharing off in the camera’s settings, and then guests see only their own.
Can a guest delete a photo they took?
Yes. Guests can delete the photos they took from the full-screen viewer. The camera’s owner can delete any photo.

Plans and price

Is Dispo88 free?
Yes. Every camera starts free with up to 88 photos, and you can make as many free cameras as you like. For trips and weekends away, Crew ($8.88) gives a camera unlimited photos. For a QR poster, a password, a live slideshow and more, there’s Event ($39). Both are one-time, per camera, for any number of guests. Prices in CAD.
How do I upgrade a camera?
Open the camera’s settings and tap Upgrade this camera. It’s a one-time payment, and the upgrade applies right away.

Your photos

How do I see my photos?
They’re in the camera’s album. Each one develops for a little while first. With album sharing on, which is the default, guests see everyone’s photos too.
What’s a Memory Reel?
A short video made from photos in an album, to save or share. Open the album, select the photos you want and tap Reel.
How do I change a camera’s cover photo?
Open the camera’s album, tap the select icon, choose one photo, then tap Set as cover. Only the camera’s owner can set the cover.

Event cameras

Can I show the photos on a TV or projector?
EVENTYes. Open Live slideshow from the camera’s settings on the website. It shows photos full screen as they develop, newest first.
How do I get a QR poster for my event?
EVENTGo to the camera’s settings and tap QR poster. Pick one of 10+ designs and a size, then print it, for tables or a wall, so guests can join by scanning.
How do I stop guests from taking more photos?
EVENTTurn on Lock camera in the camera’s settings. Guests see that the camera is locked and can’t shoot, but can still see the album. Unlock it any time.
Can I change how long photos take to develop?
EVENTYes. Photos develop in 1 hour by default. An Event camera can pick 10, 20 or 30 minutes, or 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 hours, in the camera’s settings. The change applies to every photo, including ones still developing. A 12-hour wait means wedding photos show up the next morning.
Can I limit how many photos each guest takes?
EVENTYes. Set Photos per guest in the camera’s settings, and each guest gets the same number of shots, like a real disposable camera.
How do I password-protect my camera?
EVENTTurn on Password in the camera’s settings and set one. Guests enter it before they can take photos or see the album. Change or remove it any time.
How do I export all my photos?
EVENTGo to the camera’s settings and tap Export all photos. Every developed photo downloads as a zip file.
